iPhone 3Gs - the entire package
SO many different emulated designs of the highly awaited iPhone has finally come to rest. LEaving some disappointed, people were still very excited for the latest installment to it's already impressive iPhone series.
S stands for speed and like announced, the processing speed is around 2 times faster. It is a 600Mhz processor and 256MB of RAM, that will is a good increase from the predecessor iPhone which is only 128MB and a 412Mhz processor. not exactly twice the speed, but its an improvement.
3.0 megapixel auto-focus with macro mode and auto white balance is also another extra bonus. Personally, I use my camera quite a fair bit but have to always edit it before it actually turns out nice. boohoo..
Battery also sees some improvements.
iPhone 3G
5 hours talk time / data on 3G, 10 hours on 2G, 6 hours data on WiFi, 24 hours audio, 7 hours video,
iPhone 3G s
5 hours talk time / data on 3G, 12 hours on 2G, 9 hours data on WiFi, 30 hours Audio, 10 hours video
As quoted from the apple website, "Making a call on iPhone has always been easy. With Voice Control, it’s even easier. Now you can make calls and play music using just the sound of your voice." The new voice control feature is indeed a great touch. I can certainly see myself using it.
Other features include landscape SMS-ing, video recording, cut and paste feature, voice memos (native support) and a search feature (sorta like spotlight)
All in all, sounds like a pretty cool gadget. Common but cool. AT&T is offering it for 199USD and you can get it up to the 32GB varient (i don't see how i'm gonna use up all that space, but hey its just me:p )

Inside Matters ! Nasi Lemak Matters!
It's been a long and exhausting week running around especially with the terrible weather conditions. Makes me wonder how people can still walk around in the heart of KL and not feel affected in any way. Gosh, I really hope this weather turns around.
I love to pamper myself and I feel i must reward myself after those intense seven days at the gym (it's not as easy as it looks! I swear it's difficult running on the thread mill for 15mins. Wonder how those "uncles" can run for so much more".) So today I got up of bed extra early to catch the nasi lemak store at the nearby market before they close. Luckily, there was still a lot more left. phew.
Sitting down looking at my nasi lemak packet all clean to the last rice grain, i felt so contented. Then I thought to myself, "hey, this is a pretty small ugly looking thing but it is satisfying.". Haven't you ever wondered how or why simple things like nasi lemak makes us so happy?
Okay, picture it this way. You wake up one morning. It's a beautiful morning. The sun is up high and the gentle sun rays penetrate through your window blinds. You comfortably walk down to stairs only to find a packet of nasi lemak on the table for breakfast. From the looks of it, you don't want to even go close to it, but that's the only thing you have to eat.
You lift the packet up, it's bottom is oily from the sambal within. Hesitantly, you open the small packet and....
Hey, who expected to see all this in a small tiny little brown packet?
Immediately your perception of the food changes. You are eager to feel how it tastes like. Slowly putting a little of everything on the small plastic food, your mouth is filled with saliva and you can't wait to taste it.
Placing the spoon into your mouth, the intense taste reaches your taste buds and you crave for more. Now you know what heaven tastes like! It is literally indescribable and you slowly indulge in the little packet.
As the famous saying goes, don't judge a book by it's cover and like many people say, the presentation is just the bonus but it doesn't matter at the end of it all. Yes, indeed inside matters. Who knew that a small packet of nasi lemak could taste so good? Though the packet was oily, sluggish and looked as though it had very little content, unexpectedly you tasted heaven in that one small packet. It’s not what is on the outside, but what is inside that matters most!”
PS, I'm pretty evil. look at these pictures :p
Oh yes before I end this post, I attended an Intel Insiders party. It's a pretty cool event, met a lot of new people there and have access to secrets :p. Also learnt that Intel has their very own blog. Check it out at http://www.myintelblog.com/. If you ever have the chance to attend their parties, DO IT. It's worth the time, seriously.
